HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: The Bellevue Hotel is in the historical city center with the Central Station is a stone drop away. The Bellevue gets great recommendations being in the Tripadvisor’s top recommended hotels. Yes rooms are small but they are modern bright and very comfortable and the hotel is judged modern welcoming and all at a great price.

Exterior

Although the original building was torn down and this is a brand new building, due to the strict building laws in Amsterdam, the new building had to be in the old, traditional style to fit in with the neighbourhood.

Lobby

The lobby is medium and airy with a black and white tiled floor, terracotta leather chairs and pale blue beams on the ceiling giving it a modern style but with a twist of tradition.

Restaurant

This is located on the ground floor with a separate street entrance and so serves not only hotel guests but the public, also. It serves a hot buffet breakfast and light meals for lunch and dinner and is decorated in the style of a bistro with wood flooring, wood tables and modern leather seating.

General

This hotel has an excellent location in the heart of Amsterdam and opposite Central Station making it a 15 minute train ride to the airport, and a great location not only for visiting Amsterdam but also for visiting the rest of the country. It is suitable for all markets and comes highly recommended. jg/04/2005
